Fiber-rich Diets = Flatter Tummies

Each year many Americans struggle to lose weight. Many times people don’t understand that in order to rid their frames of body fat they need to ingest more fiber. A diet that is high in fiber is often known as an “ab diet” because it helps the body rid itself of gunk collected in the colon, thus flattening the tummy. Fiber can be found in many fruits, vegetables and complex carbohydrates. Fiber helps flush the body of fat and toxins. Doctors will always tell their patients to eat more fiber when offering dieting tips.

These fruits are well known their high fiber content; apples, prunes, strawberries, blueberries, and pears. Vegetables, including spinach, corn, turnips, carrots, and kale, contain excellent amounts of fiber. Complex carbohydrates, like oatmeal, brown rice, and whole-wheat bread are also high in fiber.
